I have just finished a website and some design work for Green Star Transport a privately owned company, specialising in the transportation of goods throughout the UK. Nigel came to me to design a business identity for Green Star including a logo design and promotional business cards. The website is a simple four-page design detailing information about the company as well as offering potential clients contact information.

I have just finished another website for Hypnotherapist and Psychotherapist Anil Arora. Anil came to me after the completion of his Transformational Counselling website following the opening of two new practises in Ashby de la Zouch and Derby. The website focuses on detailing the services these new practises can offer its clients as well as act as a hub for the other services Anil has to offer.

I have just completed a website for Freelance Illustrator; Cath Sweetman. Cath’s website is a portfolio site to showcase her past and current work as a children’s book illustrator and typographer. Her work is comprised of very linear yet beautifully intricate drawings so together we worked on a simple design to best showcase her work.

I have just completed a website for a very talented lady called Jo-Anne Spice Blackwood. Jo’s website showcases all of her talents as a performance poet, actress, writer and workshop leader and features an audio/visual gallery as well as examples of her poems and all the important dates she has upcoming for her performances and workshops.

The Guide: Derby

Today is the launch of a new venture I am taking part in, in association with Green Door Open Access Printmaking Studio CIC. The new project is called The Guide: Derby and aims to promote local artists & musicians working within derby - it is a free service to list any exhibition/event/gig or theatre production should you wish to. There is also another option to insert your virtual promotional literature into the box for a monthly subscription fee (and even that is cheap!).

I have been wondering recently whether or not to create a place to showcase some of the work I have been doing for my clients ~ or even just to have somewhere to post updates and things for Applebox. And, after stumbling accross this nifty piece of software, I decided to give it a go.

I hope to post here any and all projects that I am working on to use this blog as a sort of portfolio of my recent design work and also a place to post any news relating to Applebox Designs.
